I am the owner of Palmetto Therapy Connections, and a full-time Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Converse University. I am a member and Approved Supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). I am also a member of the Upstate SC LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce and am an LGBT+ affirming therapist.
My goal is for you to feel heard and accepted as we co-create a therapy space together. My approach to therapy is founded on Bowen’s Natural Systems theory and Postmodern theory (including Collaborative and Narrative therapy), with emphasis on understanding your emotional and family systems. This means that I will prioritize discussions about your individuality, your family of origin, your relationships, your intersections of identity, your occupational/school environment, and the greater sociopolitical environment we live in. Our work will be collaborative in nature; we’ll work together to explore how you understand your world and what you might want to be different.

Fun Facts
I love to read, and my favorite genre is fantasy. I’m currently reading the Fourth Wing series by Rebecca Yarros and recently finished an incredible book, The Sword of Kaigen by M. L. Wang! SO GOOD.
I am a former member of the Carolina Band and can play the flute and piccolo. Sometimes I dabble in playing the ukulele.
I’m often described as “goofy,” and you’ll likely notice I infuse my sense of humor into therapy sessions too.
I’m also a dog mom to the sweetest pup, Gemma! Love that kid so much.
